Mr. Lai Viet Van, Head of Tan Phu 1 neighborhood, said: “Up to now, about 12,000 people, 70% of whom are immigrants, are residing in the neighborhood of 4,700 households with along with 1,200 rooms being rented by more than 4,000 people. The security situation is stable without major crimes. Currently, they are also focusing on propaganda and patrolling to protect people and stabilize the situation of workers returning to work after the Tet holiday and prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The force involved in maintaining security in the neighborhood has 35 people, which is 6 people for neighborhood protection as the main force often assigned to coordinate patrols during peak times of crime prevention. Mr. Lai Viet Van added: “In order to keep the neighborhood peaceful, the people agree that we should always raise the spirit of solidarity, build and strictly implement the set rules and regulations. In addition to propaganda, patrols in coordination with mass organizations is also implementated with great care. Especially during the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic, we go and knock from door to door to remind people about vaccination, the comply with the "5K" message of Ministry of Health, and awareness of criminals, and timely support to families in need.”
According to Mr. Van, leaders of the People's Committee of Tan Binh ward regularly grasp the actual situation to firmly consolidate the core organizations in the movement of the whole people to protect national security in agencies, enterprises and schools; to review and evaluate the effectiveness of advanced models and examples that need to be replicated, thereby, timely praising and rewarding in order to encourage and develop the movement in the ward.
