In the 2018-2019 school year, the achieved numbers and results were really impressive. At contests of excellent teachers, excellent students at all levels, teachers and students of TDM City gained many high results.
At Vo Minh Duc contest of excellent teachers, TDM City won 6 prizes and 18 teachers were recognized as excellent teachers of the province. For students, at the provincial scientific and technological contest for secondary schools, TDM City won 1 second prize, 3 consolation prizes, and 1 national special prize; at Olympic contest for Grade 9, students of TDM City won 77 prizes, including 3 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 18 third prizes, and first prize of team category. Furthermore, at provincial English Olympic contest, city students won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 2 consolation prizes. At any playground, students of TDM City always show their talents. Students of the city won second prize at provincial traffic safety contest, second prize at school safety contest... In addition to studying well, students also actively participate in cultural and sports activities. At provincial sports tournament, the city’s students won 20 gold medals, 18 silver medals, 13 bronze medals of 10 sports, and won the first prize of team category.
The quality of mass education is also very prominent. At the elementary level, 100% students completed the required program; at junior high school level, the proportion of students ranked as good and excellent reached over 62%. The most recent achievement is in the entrance exam to Grade 10, school year 2019-2020, TDM City was ranked first at all 3 subjects: Literature, Math, and English.
Nguyen Van Chet, Head of the city Education and Training Office, said that in order to achieve the above results, during the last school year, the whole sector seriously implemented the program of "Essential innovation, enhanced effectiveness" combined with the motto “Responsibility, dynamism, creativity” and action slogan “All for the dear students”. Accordingly, education and training sector of TDM City implemented fully key tasks of the school year with many specific measures that were consistent with characteristics of the city. In addition, management staff was active in administration, well performed their tasks, awareness and responsibility of teachers, staff, and students were raised. In addition, school facilities of TDM City were upgraded; teaching equipment was updated, meeting the renovation of teaching methods, applying information technology in management and teaching.

Along with the whole sector in the province, in the new school year 2019-2020, Education and Training of TDM City focuses on performing 3 key task groups in accordance with the city conditions.
By the end of the school year 2018-2019, the whole city had 62 schools at all levels, the non-public system had 42 kindergartens, 5 primary schools, and 48 independent schools and groups. In this school year, the city continues to review, arrange, and consolidate educational institutions in order to enhance conditions to ensure quality, improve investment efficiency, and to meet education development demand.
The sector also reviewed and forecasted the scale of education development, cooperated with localities to advise the City People's Committee in land fund planning, creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to participate in educational socialization at all levels. The city also ensures to maintain schools meeting national standards, and national standards on education universalization at all levels. In the new school year, the city's Office of Education and Training advises the city government to approve the plan for kindergarten education development in period 2019-2025, in which reviews the operating conditions of preschool facilities.
Regarding personnel, the city will manage and arrange qualified teachers and management staff to ensure work quality and efficiency, in association with the good implementation of personnel development policies. In recent years, TDM City has well performed the work of fostering personnel. To improve the quality of teaching and managing staff, in the new school year, Education and Training Office has a plan of regular training for teachers and managers in order to heighten the capacity of management staff from offices to schools. Professional and ethical quality of the teaching staff receives attention. In addition, Education and Training Office also enhances fostering, raising the sense of responsibility, professional ethics of teachers and educational managers; rectify and strictly handle units and individuals that violate code of conduct.
One of the important tasks that have received much attention is to enhance education and training of ethics, lifestyle, and life skills for students. Accordingly, Education and Training Office directs schools to set up their school culture, providing life skills for students; building a healthy, democratic, and disciplined educational environment.
