The Provincial Women's Union (WU) has organized activities, movements, and practical projects to welcome the International Women's Day March 8 and the 1,982nd anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising.
Activities focus on raising awareness of members, women and people of all walks of life about women's issues, gender equality and union activities, contributing to strengthening the position and role of Vietnam Women's Union.
This year, union branches in the province also focus on dissemination to affirm the good qualities of Vietnamese women (i.e. Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Courage); take practical care and improve the material and spiritual life of all classes of women and children having extremely difficult circumstances.
According to Huynh Thi Thuy Phuong, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, the activities, works and tasks for the celebration of International Women's Day must ensure quality, practicality, avoid formality, must be suitable to the conditions of each locality and unit.
