So as to make reading a good friend and to improve reading habit, Binh Duong Province has organized various activities to draw people to reading. The love for booksPresident Ho Chi Minh used to say “The more books you read the more mileage you travel”. Depending on reading needs, we have different kinds of books from entertainment to learning and researches. Students of Thu Dau Mot University is subscribing for books at Provincial Library. And, when the years flew by, those who have been distracted from busy life should seek for the friend of knowledge – the books.Mr. Nguyen Van Long, 67, residing at Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, is book enthusiast who could spend hours reading. Long said: “As for me, a book is a storage of knowledge in an immense knowledge world. I could not remember how many books that I have read but I could remember my time collecting books. Now, at my retirement, I have generous time to read and read.”Of the book enthusiasts, many have been distracted by modern media and technology to forget about the book roles.Mr. Huynh Ngoc, 50, residing at Chanh Nghia Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, said: “Nowadays, there are bundles of reasons for people to stay distracted from reading books. The medias including TVs, computers, and smart devices in the outburst of internet development should easily drive people away from the reading habit. The outcome is very challenging to libraries nation wide.”For younger generation, reading books is more and more of less interest than social networks and comics.
