Binh Duong provincial Permanent Office of Disaster prevention – Search and rescue Steering Committee informed, from 7am 25th April to 7am 26th April, the province had rain to moderate rain. Notably, rainstorm at 4.30pm on 25th April ripped roofs of 2 households (total area of 110 m2), collapsed 2 thatched roofs of 2 households (total area of 330 m2) in An My hamlet, An Dien commune, Ben Cat Town; No damage to people; total value of the damage was about VND125 million. Other localities in the province had no damages.
The Steering Committee mobilized forces to help people clean the fields, stabilize accommodations; verified, evaluated damages, carried out procedures to support people overcoming disaster aftermath. In order to prevent bad effects of extreme weather, provincial Permanent Office of Disaster prevention – Search and rescue Steering Committee proposed steering committees at districts, towns and cities to assign personnel on duty seriously, closely monitor warning news, forecasts for heavy rains, thunderstorm, timely inform to steering committees of communes, wards, towns and people to proactively implement preventive measures, ensure safety for people, properties and production.
The Office also recommended forces to be ready in terms of personnel, supplies and means to proactively respond to, timely take remedies when there are incidents according to Official Dispatch 706/SNN-PCTT on 9th April 2020 of provincial Disaster prevention – Search and rescue Steering Committee on damage prevention of thunderstorms, tornadoes, thunderbolt, hail in the province, and quickly carry out procedures to support people in stabilizing their lives.
