For years of volunteer campaigns, the youths in Binh Duong Province have been experienced in mobilization of members and organization of activities. This is expressively proved for this year of volunteering activities with new breakthroughs in promoting the role of the whole youths’ power in the province.
Enthusiastic movement start-up
Over 30,000 league members, including youths in rural areas, the armed forces, universities, colleges, junior colleges, etc. have joined up summer volunteer campaigns. They have gotten to the remote areas of the province and neighboring localities to join up the major activities of student support and meaningful movements. In each campaign, they impressed local people by their constructions of practical use.

“Green marching of joint forces” was one of the starting-up campaigns for this year’s summer volunteer campaigns, creating enthusiasm of provincial youths in the construction of new rural areas.
In Dau Tieng and Phu Giao, the remote areas of the province, were various constructions of rural traffic, free health services, gifts to heroic mothers and socially-privileged families, people, and children, bringing social welfare to the community while creating good images of the armed force soldiers in local people’s hearts.
Another campaign was to disseminate legal knowledge to locals and performing activities for entertainment of young factory workers in industrial parks and for social welfare. At the peak were the activities in Bau Bang District and Tan Uyen Town with construction of charity houses and soap hand washing campaign, free medicine offering, gifts and visits to socially-privileged families.
Works of practicality
In this year summer campaigns, the participants have coordinated 45 free swimming courses for 1,423 children and 135 weekend events for 3,460 children of charity classrooms and young factory workers. Concurrently, the campaign commanding board has focused on support for children n of difficult circumstances to pursue schooling with 2,420 gifts given away to children of charity classrooms.
Attached to the campaign were the joint efforts of constructing new rural areas with environment protection activities and maintenance of modern urban appearance. In the campaigns, over 4,500 provincial youths have implemented 720 starting-up events of tidying monuments and roads in the province. They have also called upon the public to join up the green Sundays.
Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Youth’s League, said: “The campaigns have been expanded to every subject and locality to prove the long-term commitments to onsite volunteer activities by gathering intellectual knowledge, enthusiasm, and young efforts for socio-economic development participation. The hard work and issues of great concerns have been resolved by creative volunteering models and works of practicality. The campaigns have created the image of young people of enthusiasm, intellectual quality, and sentimental in the people’s hearts and the society.”
