The couple of Nguyen Trung Tin, who came from Ca Mau, are staying at a lodging house in Thuan An said: “We have just got married. I am working as a wood worker in Thuan An, and my wife used to be a sewing worker in Bien Hoa (Dong Nai). After Tet holiday, my wife quitted her job, because of convenient travel to work. With her experience, she also got a job in my company. My wife and I now feel secure as working and living in Binh Duong.
After leaving his Thanh Hoa homeland for settlement in the South, Tran Tien Quan and his younger brother rented a lodging room in Thai Hoa ward (Tan Uyen). He said: “In my hometown, many people go to Binh Duong to settle down and have a better life. Farmland in the countryside has unstable income and no surplus. It was said that Binh Duong had developed many companies, so my brother and I came here for a job and hope to improve our lives”.
Many policies taking care of workers
Recently, many activities, programs and policies caring for workers from local government and organizations at all levels have left many good impressions in the hearts of migrant workers. Since then, Binh Duong is a potential land in terms of not only investment attraction, but also absorbing laborers.
Ho Nhu Ngoc, a native of Kien Giang, said: “My friends working in Binh Duong told about many cultural, art, sports programs, giving gifts, support, and activities of local organizations. These programs take care of not only workers but also our children. It is difficult to find a job, and living place is such friendly, so migrant workers feel more secure, consider Binh Duong as our second home. This year, I went to Binh Duong to find a job and look forward to a better life”.
Tran Ngoc Linh, a native of Ha Tinh, has recently moved to Binh Duong to stay with her older sister in Ben Cat Town. She also wanted to find a job to earn a stable income. She said: “I have an older sister, who has worked in Binh Duong for 5 years. Her life is also stable. This year, she got free bus tickets to return home on Tet holidays from a program taking care of workers, so our parents were very happy. Thus, I came to Binh Duong to work, set up my life, and help parents. Knowing about many good conditions for workers at her company, so my parents feel secure to let me come to Binh Duong with my sister. I hope that in a developing land like Binh Duong, I would have a better life”.
