Representatives of Phu Loi Ward Youth Union and benefactors gave gifts to a disadvantaged person.
On 1 April, Phu Loi Ward Youth Union (Thu Dau Mot City) reviewed the list of disabled and poor sellers of lottery tickets in the ward, and called for donations from benefactors to disadvantaged people. As a result, Youth Union of Phu Loi Ward received 65 gifts and cash VND400,000 to disabled people, and VND300,000 to lottery ticket sellers. Most of the above cases are lottery ticket sellers.
Nguyen Ngoc Lan Anh, Secretary of the ward Youth Union, said to prevent the Covid-19, from 1 April the country discontinued the issuance of lottery tickets within 15 days, making the life of lottery ticket sellers more difficult. To realize the difficulties of these people, the ward Youth Union called for donors in the area to give presents to timely help them overcome current difficulties.
Each gift included 1 carton of instant noodles, rice, and cash. 78-year- old Nguyen Thi Tham, a lottery ticket seller, was very touched as receiving the gift. Ms. Tham said: "This is not the first time I get help form local government. It is the warm heart of Binh Duong people that help migrant people like us to love this land more”.
Previously, Youth Union of Phu Loi Ward also donated 300 face masks, 320 a bottles of hand sanitizer to the people to prevent and combat the epidemic. The Youth Union also supported raw materials and guided people to make 1,000 handmade face masks to protect people health in the epidemic season.
