To enhance inspection and examination

Following the direction of the Central Steering Committee and Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Food Safety Steering Committee set up a Food Safety Assurance plan before, during and after Lunar New Year 2020. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Đạt, Director of Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Office, said that the common goal set by provincial Food Safety Steering Committee in this year's plan was to ensure food safety in production, processing and trading, import and use of food; at the same time, strengthening control and handling the business of fake and poor quality food, preventing food poisoning during Lunar New Year 2020. Therefore, on this occasion, from provincial to communal level will establish inspection teams, specialized inspection, and inter-branch inspection to focus on product groups that consume much during Tet and with high risk factors, food processing villages.

At the provincial level, in addition to the inter-branch inspection team (including health sector, agriculture, industry and trade), on this occasion, functional departments also set up a specialized inspection team to carry out inspections by fields and sectors. Subjects of inspection and examination are establishments of food producing, processing, trading, importing , providing catering services, street food, focusing on production and business establishments of products that are used much during the Lunar New Year, such as meat products, beverages... Delegations at provincial level will focus on inspecting and examining production and business establishments, importing food as major wholesalers, markets, supermarkets and trade centers. For small and medium food establishments, catering business establishments shall mainly be inspected and supervised by district and commune levels according to decentralized management.

Doctor Nguyễn Văn Đạt, said this year the health sector paid attention to quality control. After food inspection and testing, violating production and business establishments will be strictly handled according to regulations. In addition, the violating facilities will be also published on mass media to alert consumers, not to use low-quality products, fake goods ... to ensure consumer's health on Tet holiday.
