Provincial People's Committee issued a directive on strengthening the implementation of student health insurance. Accordingly, Provincial Social Insurance in cooperation with Department of Education and Training, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Department of Health direct related units, educational and training institutions to develop plans to implement student health insurance, strive to achieve 100% students to participate in health insurance in school year 2020-2021.
Provincial Social Insurance directs district-level social insurance offices in collaborate with units, people's committees at communes, wards, townships, educational and training institutions, unions and press agencies, radio and television station to actively encourage students to participate in health insurance in many forms, suitable, easy to understand and practical contents attracting the attention of parents and students; in particular, focus on communication of some key contents stressing the humanity, caring nature of health insurance in general and student health insurance in particular.
Provincial Social Insurance in cooperation with Department of Education and Training, Department of Labor, Trade and Social Affairs, and related departments, branches inspect and supervise the implementation of student health insurance policies, and promptly direct, urge the units to assist schools to accomplish 100% participation rate; to carry out preliminary summary of student health insurance every year. Provincial Social Insurance directs district-level social insurance offices in collaborate with Education and Training Offices of the same level, schools, and educational training institutions in the area regularly review the data, make a list of uninsured students to encourage these students to participate in health insurance; to instruct schools to comply with procedures, create the most favorable conditions for students to participate in health insurance; to print and issue health insurance cards accurately and promptly.
Besides, Provincial Social Insurance cooperates with Department of Health and medical centers to serve well the primary health care and timely solve problems arising in the health examination and treatment process for students.
