To temporarily suspend the organization of all kinds of festivals in the province

The Provincial People's Committee has sent an official dispatch to departments, agencies, mass organizations and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities on the suspension of organizing all kinds of festivals in the province.

Accordingly, the Chairman of Provincial People's Committee directed to suspend the organization of festivals and fireworks during the Lunar New Year 2022; to stop unnecessary gatherings of people.

The Chairman of Provincial People's Committee requested heads of departments, divisions and branches; Chairpersons of People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and relevant units immediately carry out the information and communication on the development of the Covid-19, professional issues related to the disease prevention control. To intensify the work of information, dissemination and raising the people's awareness of self-discipline to obey the regulations, not to be subjective or negligent in the Covid-19 prevention control. To arrange the anti-pandemic forces to ensure timely handling of situations to serve the people celebrating Tet festival joyfully, healthily and safely. To provide adequate and timely information, create agreement in society so that people could enjoy spring and welcome Tet in the new normal state.

The Chairman of Provincial People's Committee assigned Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to cooperate with relevant departments, agencies and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the organization of cultural, sports and tourism activities, festivals before, during and after the Lunar New Year; ensure to serve the people for a joyful, healthy and safe Tet holiday that is suitable to the civilized lifestyle, customs, traditions, cultural traditions of the nation and the Covid-19 situation in each locality.
