On 16th June, provincial Department of Transportation in collaboration with Branch office IV. 2 of Road Management carried out an inspection of overloaded vehicles on National Highway 1K in Binh Duong province.
During the same morning, the inspectorate detected and handled a violation of overloaded vehicle. Accordingly, on National Highway 1K area of Tan Dong Hiep ward (Di An City), the inspectorate detected a dump truck showing signs of overloading, thus required to stop for checking. Based on a comparison of the actual load and allowable load of this vehicle, the authorities affirmed this vehicle exceeded 130% the allowable load. The inspectorate fined driver and business owner of the overloaded vehicle more than VND40 million.
It is known that this inspection was in the cooperation plan 2020 between provincial Department of Transportation in collaboration with Branch office IV. 2 of Road Management to secure traffic safety and to protect road traffic infrastructure on National Highway 1K. According to the plan, inspections will be carried out until the end of June 2020.
