Early August 13, the Vietnam Children Support Fund joined hands with provincial People’s Committee to organize the 2014 program awarding “Together with Children to School” scholarships to children with extremely difficult circumstances in provinces and cities nationwide.
Attending the program were Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice-Chairwoman of the Vietnam Children Support Fund; Doan Mau Hiep, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Mai The Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Huynh Van Nhi, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Children Support Fund awarded 110 scholarships worth VND3mln to children with extremely difficult circumstances in Binh Duong. Ten poor-but-excellent pupils in the province also received the five-year support with the annual level of VND5mln per person.
Besides, the fund presented symbolic scholarships to representatives of provinces and cities: Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc and HCM city with VND380mln each locality. Que Huong charity center also received VND100mln from the fund.
Launched by Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan in 2012, the “Together with Children to School” program has awarded 10,000 scholarships worth VND30bln to needy pupils in 58 provinces and cities throughout the country.
