Tracing contacts of two new Covid-19 cases

As of February 3, Binh Duong province recorded 4 cases of Covid-19 in the community. Functional forces have sped up the activities of tracing the contacts of Covid-19 patients in the Covid-19 hotspots of Phu Giao district, aiming to effectively control the dangerous pandemic.

Putting focus on tracing contacts of Covid-19 cases

At a meeting held yesterday, Phu Giao district announced that most F1 and F2 cases relating to 2 Covid-19 patients were taken to isolation zones. The district has also continued sending other relevant cases to isolation zones while expanding the activities of tracing the contacts of the local Covid-19 cases. Early February 3, HCM city’s Pasteur Institute continued supporting the district in Covid-19 prevention and control.

Phu Giao has drastically taken solutions to well control the spread of Covid-19 pandemic

Earlier, Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with the district’s Steering Board for Covid-19 prevention about the local activities against the pandemic. Over the past days, the province’s whole political system, medical workers, police officers and armed forces on the frontline against Covid-19 pandemic tried their best to stamp out the spread of the pandemic.

As of now, the province has reported 4 cases of Covid-19 in the community. With the motto of considering F1 cases as F0 ones and F2 cases as F1 ones, the province has had the exact assessment for the development of the pandemic for effective solutions. This is highly appreciated by the Ministry of Health in Covid-19 prevention and control. Upon this, the province has mapped out fierce strategies in the fight against the pandemic.

Fifth day with efforts in Covid-19 prevention

Over the past six days, Phu Giao district’s government, police and armed forces actively coordinated with the local medical sector to speed up the task of tracing the contacts of Covid-19 patient and relevant cases. Members of the district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 pandemic were on duty around the clock.

The district has till now set up 13 Covid-19 checkpoints. Over the past days, members of the checkpoints worked around the clock. Doctor Nguyen Minh Duc, Head of the rapid response team 2 on fighting Covid-19 said that 9 members of the team have been on duty around the clock to further track the contacts of the local Covid-19 case in order to make a list of relevant cases for testing in the soonest time.

Doan Van Dong, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that this is the important period with comprehensive decision, ensuring safety for Covid-19 prevention and control in the new context. With the spirit of solidarity, high determination of steering committees for Covid-19 prevention and control from sectors, authorites at all levels plus unanimity from people, the district has drastically taken solutions to well control the spread of the pandemic. Currently, the pandemic is controlled well.

He added that the district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention has asked for the local people to keep calm and set their mind at rest. The local people should have the responsibility to themselves, families and the community in Covid-19 prevention and control. In a bid to stamp out the pandemic, they need to implement the 5K recommendation (Khẩu trang (face mask) - Khử khuẩn (disinfection) - Khoảng cách (social distancing) - Không tụ tập (avoiding crowded gathering) - Khai báo y tế (making medical declaration) suggested by the Ministry of Healthy. They also need to install the Bluezone contact-tracing app…

Reportedly, the district’s Party Committee, People’s Committee and functional agencies had good coordination in Covid-19 prevention and control with the high sense of responsibility and determination over the past days. There were 137 samples taken for Covid-19 testing  from January 29 to February 2. The district is expected to take 20 cases to isolation zones…
