Along with regular tasks, Dau Tieng district’s Labor Union actively implemented the establishment of trade union locals in non-state businesses across the district over the past time. After being established, trade union locals at district-based non-State businesses have worked very effectively, well realized movements and taken good care of the spiritual and material lives of trade unionists.
In the 2015-2020 tenure, together with agricultural restructuring, Dau Tieng district has concentrated on trade-service and industrial development.

The whole district is now home to an industrial compound and more than 360 companies in operation. District-based companies have worked stably, generating jobs for more than 13,000 laborers. Noticeably, Thanh An industrial compound has so far offered jobs to around 1,000 laborers. It is known that along with helping businesses remove their obstacles in production and business, the district put focus on the development of trade union locals over the past time.
Under the district’s Party Committee’s Program No.34-CTr/HU dated May 9, 2017 on promoting Party and socio-political organizations in non-State businesses for the 2027-2020 period, the district’s Labor Union has made dissemination of information about the role and function of the Trade Union in businesses. Realizing the importance of the Trade Union, most businesses have wanted to establish trade union locals, thereby mobilizing trade unionists and laborers to actively work and giving better care for their spiritual and material lives.
Ho Phat, Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s Labor Union said that the district’s Labor Union Standing Committee has always seen the establishment of trade union locals in non-State businesses as a major and regular task, contributing to protecting laborers ‘legitimate rights and interests. The district’s Labor Union now controls over 22 trade union locals in non-State businesses with more than 2,600 laborers and more than 1,730 trade unionists.
According to Mr.Phat, the above result came from early awareness of employers and employees in the importance of the Trade Union. Trade Union activities were also improved to ensure harmonious labor relations, thereby absorbing the involvement of numerous laborers.
In the coming time, the district’s Labor Union will further enhance Trade Union officials ‘capacity; improve and diversify trade union locals ‘activities, promote the establishment of trade union locals, thereby fostering production-business activities, building up advanced, stable and harmonious labor relations in businesses, bringing practical benefits to them and laborers.
