Although facing obstacles, the Trade Union of provincial garment-textile sector has reached considerable achievements. Particularly, the Trade Union has made efforts in signing collective labor deals, better ensuring laborers’ rights and interests. So far, there have been 61 trade union locals with collective labor deals or 78% of total. Noticeably, the Trade Union has successfully signed the sector’s 3rd collective labor deal for the period of 2017-2020 with 13 enterprises, bringing higher benefits to laborers…
Dang Thanh Van, President of provincial garment-textile sector’s Trade Union said that since reaching the sector’s collective labor deal, the Trade Union has obviously expressed its role in protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests and limiting illegal labor strikes. The sector has also brought sustainable development to enterprises.
In order to create a harmonious and stable working environment, the sector’s Trade Union has boosted a task of instructing trade union locals to coordinate with enterprises to organize conferences and dialogues with laborers. The Trade Union has also promoted the emulation movement of “Well working, creatively working” among laborers. Over the past three years, the whole sector had a total of 180 collectives and 995 individuals awarded the certificates of merit of the Trade Union; 34 collectives and 262 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial Labor Union and 88 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee Chairman.
