Trade Unions at all levels organize playgrounds for workers

In the first nine months of 2024, provincial Trade Unions at all levels  have organized various cultural, artistic and sports events as well as competitions, creating playgrounds for trade unionists and workers to get more energetic for work and production.

Opportunities to exchange and make friends

Provincial Labor Union has just organized a sports event for trade union locals from businesses at Ben Cat city’s Workers’ Cultural Center. Over 200 trade unionists and workers from 8 trade union locals with a large number of members participated in traditional games such as tug of war, bag jumping…

This sports event aimed at promoting exchanges to uphold solidarity among trade unionists and trade union locals while encouraging physical fitness and spreading sports movements among all trade unionists and workers in the province. Nguyen Thi My from the trade union local of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared that this activity was meaningful, helping workers relieve stress after long days of hard work. She expressed hope for more such recreational opportunities. Similarly, Tran Van Thin from the trade union local of Chi Hung Co., Ltd. said: "Through the playground organized by provincial Labor Union, we have the opportunity to connect, make friends, share and support each other in work and life”.

Activities taking care of workers promoted

In the first nine months of 2024, provincial Trade Unions at all levels organized numerous cultural, artistic, and sports events and competitions. Specifically, the Trade Unions of VSIP, provincial  Industrial Parks Union, Textile and Garment Industry held mini men’s and women’s football tournaments, attracting nearly 10,000 athletes and nearly 50,000 workers for cheer. Other meaningful activities such as collective wedding parties for 10 worker couples, labor safety and hygiene competitions, contests on safe labor, innovative ideas for increasing productivity…were also organized.

Le Thi Hong Nhung, President of province-based Industrial Parks’Trade Union stated that for workers and trade unionists members getting long-term attachment, in addition to providing material support to those in need, the Trade Union has organized various competitions, football and volleyball tournaments, creating healthy playgrounds at provincial Workers' Cultural Center and other recreational areas. These activities have helped trade unionists and workers strengthen their solidarity, exchange, share and support each other in both work and life.
