Transportation means for lunar January festival to be ensured

On the peak of lunar mid-January Festival, aside from announcement of bus routes, Department of Transportation has demanded bus operation enterprises to make back-up measures to ensure safe and thorough passenger transportation.

Bus routes adjusted to avoid traffic jam

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Deputy Director of Department of Transportation just signed into regulations the bus routes to service the up-coming lunar mid-January Festival in 2015. Accordingly, from 15:00 on March 4 to 20:00 on March 5, the bus routes from Thu Dau Mot to Binh My-Cu Chi, Phu Chanh, Cong Xanh, Thanh Tuyen-Dau Tieng, Uyen Hung, and Suoi Tien must switched the routes passing through CMT8 Street to Binh Duong Highway as per guidance of Public Passenger Transportation Management Center.

Mr. Mai Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of Public Passenger Transportation Management Center, informed of his assignment of coordinators to ensure order at the festival through guiding traffic means at the entrances and exits of the festival.

Becamex Tokyu Bus Corporation has assigned its staffs permanently present at the front of Thien Hau Temple and those localities of visitor crowds including Thoi An Pagoda and Thien Hau Temple in Binh Duong New City to guide the visitors with timely information about traffic status to meet their demands.

For the best passenger needs

As informed Public Passenger Transportation Management Center, twenty public passenger transportation establishments shall reduce their services for the routes of less passengers and increase the services for the routes of higher visitor population while allocating preserved vehicles as required and demanded by Department of Transportation. Particularly, on March 4 and 5, they would offer 3,933 trips a day . The routes from Thu Dau Mot to Thanh Tuyen-Dau Tieng, Cong Xanh-Phu Giao, and Bau Bang is maintained at normal services for 30 to 41 trips a day. As for routes from Thu Dau Mot to My Phuoc-Ben Cat, Mien Dong Transportation Station, and Tan Uyen, quantity of trips should increase by 5.5% higher than   normal day.

Mr. Akiyama Kasuhisa, Chief Executive Officer of Becamex Tokyu Bus Corporation informed that the corporation has planned by guidance of Department of Transportation to update information and carry out suitable measures.

As for visitors using bus from industrial parks, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bien Hoa, the corporation sets up station for receiving and discharging passengers at Binh through major spots of Thien Hau Temple, Phu Cuong Church and then en-route to Binh Duong New City. After the festival, passengers can catch their buses to return to their departure at bus stops of the corporation.
