Early May 1, Trinh Hoai Duc high school in Thuan An town held a ceremony to mark its 60th anniversary (1955-2015).

Attending the ceremony were Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the province’s education-training sector, leaders of the town together with former teachers and pupils of the school.
Established in 1955, Trinh Hoa Duc school was the first public high school in the province. The school made contributions to the cause of national construction and defence after 60 years of development. Following achievements done, the school’s teachers and pupils always strived to promote the movement of “good learning and good teaching” during the past years. The school has so far reached a constant development with more than 85 managerial officials, teachers and nearly 1,000 pupils. There has been an annual increase in the number of good teachers at provincial level, pupils completing high school graduation and passing university entrance exams. Especially, there were 100% of pupils with high school graduation and 80% of pupils passing university entrance exams in recent three years…
On this occasion, the school was awarded the “improvement-flexibility, creativeness and in-height development” laudatory writing of provincial People’s Committee. The school and 4 outstanding teachers were also conferred the certificates of merit of the Ministry of Education and Training. Provincial Study Promoting Association gave 10 scholarships for 10 good pupils while formers pupils under the school’s first course also awarded 18 scholarships to 18 poor-but-excellent pupils.
