On May 12, the provincial farmers’ society held the 4th typical farmers honoring conference for the period of 2010-2015. Attending the conference were Nguyen Huu Tu, vice secretary of the provincial party committee, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, leaders of agencies, sectors and more than 300 typical farmers in the period of 2010-2015.
Over the past 5 years, the provincial farmers society at all level well implements patriotic emulation movements, promoting internal force in rural areas, effectively using capital sources, applying technical advances into production and breeding.
Through combining patriotic emulation movements with political tasks in localities, numerous individuals become typical examples in labor and creation. The number of members surges annually. As of the end of 2014, the entire province had more than 55,000 members with 87 branches, 533 sub-societies and 2,027 teams.
Addressing the conference, Nguyen Huu Tu, vice secretary of the provincial party committee applauded results done by the society during the past 5 years and underscored some key tasks in the coming time. Firstly, patriotic emulation movements should be implemented by many more effective measures and typical models should be expanded. Secondly, it is necessary to develop urban agriculture, hi-tech agriculture and production and processing. Thirdly, it is essential to focus on cooperation and linkage to make up impetus for sustainable development. Besides, the national goal program of new rural building should be well implemented.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee granted merit certificates to 18 collectives and 238 individuals while the provincial farmers society donated merit certificates to 5 workgroups and 100 individuals.
