Units, localities and business community actively support Northern compatriots in overcoming consequences of natural disasters

Early September 13, Thu Dau Mot city launched a program to support localities in the Northern region in recovering from the aftermath of Yagi typhoon. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city's Party Committee, along with officials, public servants, employees of departments, agencies, units and armed forces in the city.

During the program, leaders of the city’s Fatherland Front Committee called on all officials, Party members, public servants, employees, armed forces, citizens, organizations and businesses in the city to uphold the tradition of solidarity and mutual support. They encouraged everyone to join hands in sharing and assisting those affected by Yagi typhoon and floods. This support is a great source of encouragement, reflecting the noble spirit of national unity, helping disaster-affected people stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

After the appeal, leaders, officials, and employees of various departments, agencies and units, along with armed forces of the city contributed a total of VND 146.5 million. This amount will be transferred by the city’s Fatherland Front Committee to provincial Fatherland Front Committee to assist localities in the Northern region in recovering from storm and flood damages.

*On the same morning, provincial Military Command held a fund raising event to support those affected by Yagi  typhoon.

On behalf of provincial Military Command’s Party Committee, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan urged all officers and soldiers to share and provide both spiritual and material support to Northern compatriots with the highest and fastest spirit of assistance. Immediately after the ceremony, leaders of provincial Military Command, officers and soldiers raised over VND 100 million to support localities affected by Yagi typhoon.

*On September 13, Tran Chien Cong, General Director of Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock Company (Biwase) announced that in response to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Vietnam Water Supply Association, the company’s staff raised VND 1.1 billion to support 11 Northern provinces. Each locality was supported VND 100 million.
