Urbanites to be thrilled about returning to new normalcy

Over more than three months of working together with local authorities and functional agencies in disease prevention and control, people in the province are very thrilled about the plan set out to gradually recover socio-economic activities depending on the conditions and level of disease prevention and control. In many localities, residents made careful preparations to adapt to the "new normal".

Many stores were ready to reopen after more than three months of closure.

To recover business operations

On the morning of October 1, although the Provincial People's Committee had not yet had an official directive or announcement about returning to the "new normal" state, many residents were animated and looked forward to reopening their business activities. Expressing his joy as talking about the plan for easing social distance and restoring socio-economic activities, Doan Tran Do, a shop owner in Phu Hoa 1 residential area (Phu ward Hoa, Thu Dau Mot City), said that in the past recent time, his shop has faced some difficulties when the province imposed social distance order. Besides, the fear of the disease made many people, even in need, were afraid to leave their house, making business activities not good not like before. “If the province relaxes the social distance and allows people to be able to travel, I think business would gradually recover, people's lives would gradually stabilize as before. In this situation, for our own interests and safety, shops and stores like us guarantee to fully comply with regulations on disease prevention and control," Do said.

Many shop said that they reopened mainly to take the good day. After three months of closure, everyone was eager to reopen the door to have motivation for a new period. At Thu Dau Mot market, trading activities have not yet fully recovered; only a few households living right at the market area have started to reopen. However, business households here said that business is still difficult, not many customers come to buy goods as before.

Le Thi Hong Phuong, a food shop on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Phu Cuong ward (Thu Dau Mot City), said that when she reopened her shop, she was very happy but also was afraid of infection, but if she stay at home, there is no income. “I agreed with local government to relax the social distance to restore the economy. I just hope the pandemic would end soon so that everyone could work with confidently and earn an income," Phuong said.

Not to be subjective and neglectful

Not only business households were eager, many workers were also thrilled as the province is returning to the "new normal". Nguyen Van Hong, a worker of Hoa Phat Furniture Joint Stock Company in Binh Duong, said that he had been off work for nearly three months, had no income, so his life was tough. Now knowing that the province is about to return to the "new normal", he is very happy. His company has also recently notified employees to register to return to work. “In order to protect myself and community healthy, I will continue to strictly adhere to the '5K' message of the Ministry of Health and will scan QR codes at places, such as markets, food stores, food, factories... Despite the "new normal", the pandemic is unpredictable, hence people still need to be vigilant," Hong said.

Returning to the new normalcy to realize the "dual goal" of both disease prevention control and economic development, people, business establishments, companies etc. must not be subjective,  but it is necessary to continue strictly following the Covid-19 prevention control regulations. At many business establishments, in addition to preparing abundant stocks, ensuring the best facilities to serve customers, many stores also strengthened preventive measures according to local regulations with the motto "Safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of the Covid-19".

Pham Minh Nguyen, manager of Bach Hoa Xanh convenience store (Phu Chanh ward, Tan Uyen town), said that their system has implemented a business plan for the "new normal" state. In particular, in addition to guaranteeing an abundant supply of goods to fully meet people's demand, the store continued to maintain measures to prevent and control the disease, such as: Making medical declarations by scanning codes QR, requires employees and customers to strictly follow the "5K" of the Ministry of Health...

Up to now, nine districts, towns and cities of the province have all declared "green zones" and gradually restored production and business activities, and eased people's movement. Many people hope that the next regulations of the province would continue to be a driving force to facilitate business and service activities, thereby contributing to stabilizing people's lives.
