Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation made the statement at the online meeting of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control with 9 districts, towns, cities on the morning of March 7. The event was also attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
Reportedly, the number of Covid-19 cases in the province over the past days continuously increased, but most of F0 cases had no symptoms and got vaccinated against the pandemic. There were 99% of F0 cases treated at home. In particular, during the last week, there was no death in the treatment areas and in the community. Particularly, the number of F0 cases being teachers and students detected in schools and classrooms was very small. Children infected with Covid-19 mainly face high fever and recover their health after 2-3 days. So far, there have been no cases of children died, due to Covid-19. Speaking at the meeting, members of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control at all levels frankly acknowledged that the recent vaccination work was quite slow. The rate of vaccination coverage between the second shot and the third one was still low. Localities all agreed to focus on mobilizing their entire force to complete a plan on vaccination of third Covid-19 vaccine shots with high results.
Mr. Loi said that although the number of Covid-19 cases has increased recently, there has been decrease in all 3 criteria: hospitalization, severe cases and death. He emphasized that vaccines are the safest "shield" in Covid-19 prevention and control, but the organization of the vaccination campaign over the past time was not methodical. The vaccination spirit of "going to every alley, knocking from door to door, checking every person" is being forgotten. In order to speed up vaccination work, he asked for departments, sectors and localities to have coordination with all measures to complete vaccination of 1st, 2nd and booster shots by March 20 and prepare for vaccination for children aged 5 - 11. Localities and units must try harder, especially in vaccination. If vaccination work is delayed, the pandemic will always exist.
