Vaccine against Covid-19 is one of the most effective measures to attack and control the coronavirus. In addition to making efforts to research and experiment to launch Vietnam's Covid-19 vaccine, the country also seeks to find more sources to buy and import vaccines in the context of global vaccine scarcity. Vaccination against Covid-19 is being accelerated nationwide. When we are vaccinated against Covid-19, the body will create immunity against the SARS-CoV-2 virus as being infected.
In Vietnam, up to now, there are six types of Covid-19 vaccines that have been licensed for use by the Ministry of Health, including: AstraZeneca, Spunik V, Sinopharm's Vero Cell; Pfizer/BioNTech's Comirnaty; Spikevax (also called Moderna) and Janssen.
All ingredients in the above Covid-19 vaccines have been carefully studied and evaluated in terms of safety for humans. According to regulations of the World Health Organization, vaccines, before being put into emergency use, are required to undergo clinical trials on humans with three phases, on the principle of ensuring three factors: safety, immunogenicity and protection effectiveness. Even after being approved, the above vaccines must continuously supplement and update information and data related to the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine during use.
Once being vaccinated against Covid-19, with the first injection it takes at least 14 days for our body produces antibodies to create a protective barrier and the protection effectiveness is still low. After 30 days of the second Covid-19 jab, the vaccine will take effect and achieve optimal protection from 65% - 90%, depending on the type of vaccine being injected and the immune response of each body. Although the effectiveness of the vaccine is not 100%, according to experts, this is an effective shield to help prevent and help to create the community immunity to prevent and control the pandemic. Hence, everyone should get vaccinated as soon as possible and the best vaccine is the one that is given at the earliest.
Getting vaccinated against Covid-19 is a right as well as a responsibility towards the community!
