The Ministry of Transport has just issued Circular 16/2021 (effective from October 1, 2021) to include changes in regulations on technical safety inspection and environmental protection for road motor vehicles.
Specifically, the first vehicle inspection will have a 24-month cycle (an increment of 6 months compared to the current regulation), the subsequent cycles will have a term of 12 months a time. However, this only applies to vehicles with a production life of up to 5 years. After 5 years and for vehicles manufactured for more than 5 years, the periodic registration cycle is every 6 months as at present regulations.
Vehicles subjecting to a periodical registration cycle every 3 months include passenger cars of over 9 seats manufactured for 15 years or more (including vehicles for transporting people over 9 seats which have been renovated and reduced to less than 9 seats carrying people up to 9 seats); trucks of all kinds, tractors that have been manufactured for 20 years or more (including trucks and tractors that have been converted into special-use cars); trucks that have been renovated and converted into function from passenger cars manufactured for 15 years or more.
