The event, which was jointly organised by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), and China's Guangxi Information Office and Guangxi Radio and Television Station, aims to promote mutual understanding and deepen the friendship between the two nations' people.

The programme featured three main components, including the release of the documentary “The Path of Development”, the launch of the Vietnam–China Media Exchange Programme 2025, and a dialogue on “Vietnamese and Chinese Youth in the Digital Media Era”.

The documentary “The Path of Development”, co-produced by VOV and Guangxi Radio and Television, runs for 60 minutes and is divided into two parts. Part one focuses on the historical relationship between Vietnam and China, highlighting their enduring and loyal friendship, and reaffirming their commitment to the path of friendship initiated by their leaders. Part two explores the practical outcomes of bilateral cooperation across the economy, trade, culture, healthcare, tourism, and green technology. Through diverse and in-depth stories, the film illustrates how this collaboration has brought tangible benefits to the people of both countries, while also showcasing the vitality and potential of their shared development journey.

The Vietnam–China media exchange programme 2025 was officially launched during the event. Under this initiative, media organisations from both sides will send journalists to co-produce products focusing on economic cooperation, regional development, people-to-people connections, and cross-border connectivity. From April to June, reporters will travel to destinations such as Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City to create content around these topics.

A highlight of the event was the dialogue session entitled “Vietnamese and Chinese Youth in the Digital Media Era”. The forum brought together media executives, young journalists, and students from both countries to exchange ideas on how digital technology is reshaping journalism and communications. The session encouraged the production of high-quality media content that promotes cultural values and enhances mutual understanding.

Attendees also enjoyed a showcase of traditional cultural arts, including Vietnamese to he (toy figurines), ca tru (ceremonial singing), and Chinese paper-cutting and toy-making. The event also featured exhibitions on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and virtual reality (VR)./.
