Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, head of the ministry’s delegation, handed over the supplies to Sa Weli Frag, Director of the Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

The aid package includes antibiotics, digestive medications, cold and flu remedies, and basic healthcare equipment like blood pressure monitors, blood glucose metres, bandages, and disinfectants. The supplies also feature mosquito spray pumps and insecticides to prevent disease outbreaks in affected areas.

Expressing gratitude for the Vietnamese support, Sa Weli Frag said the medical supplies will be immediately transferred to the Ministry of Health for distribution to areas experiencing shortages.

The rescue team from the Ministry of Public Security made Zabu Thiri township in the capital Nay Pyi Taw their first operation site as they arrived in the earthquake zone on March 31. There, at around 8:30 PM, they recovered the body of ten-year-old Mg Khant Thuta Nygan from the first floor of a collapsed four-story building with 24 bedrooms.

Specialised saws were used to take the victim from the debris. After transferring the remains to authorities and the child's family, the team continued searching for another trapped adult using service dogs.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam People's Army forces have deployed their teams at the Bala Tidi residential area in Zabu Thiri. Despite difficult nighttime conditions, they methodically searched every location with unwavering dedication.

Captain Yar Zar of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Department under the Myanmar Ministry of Home Affairs said the Vietnamese rescue team searched very thoroughly. Currently, both Myanmar and Vietnam are trying to find victims, whether alive or deceased.

The lack of heavy machinery has forced Vietnamese rescuers to rely primarily on handheld tools and manpower, making the engineering soldiers' skills crucial to the operation's success. Power outages have further complicated efforts. However, these challenges have not diminished the responsibility and commitment of the forces carrying out the mission./.
