Phu Giao district’s Women’s Union has just held a conference to partially review the mid-term implementation of the Resolution of its 4th local congress for the 2016-2021 tenure.
In the last mid term, the district’s Women’s Union and its branches effectively implemented emulation movements, 2 campaigns and major tasks. As a result, more than 85% of women were disseminated the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws, issues relating to women and children. Each Women’s Union branch helped 3 to 5 female-headed households escape poverty every year; organized training courses on employment for 80% of female laborers…
The local Women’s Union also effectively implemented a model of raising piggybanks to reduce poverty, buy health insurance cards for officials and members with more than VND1.3billion collected; well realized policies on social welfare, thereby building and upgrading 9 houses of compassion worth VND435million.
On this occasion, provincial Women’s Union honored 5 collectives, 6 individuals. The district’s Women’s Union also awarded the certificates of merit to 13 outstanding collectives and individuals in the local women’s movements in the mid term of 2016-2021. Whilst, the district’s People’s Committee commended and rewarded 5 collectives, 11 individuals with excellent achievements in the campaign of “building families with 5 Clean-s and 3 No-s” between 2016-2019.
