On July 9th, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Vice Chairman of PPC, joined a meeting with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to review results of the first 6 months and orientations, tasks for the last 6 months of 2015.
Agricultural production of the first 6 months continued to develop steadily with abundant products supply, meeting consumers’ demand, epidemics were under control. In the first 6 months, the department approved and transferred VND54.6 billion from Investment fund to implement 7 projects of agricultural development towards urban agriculture, high-tech agriculture, ecological agriculture combined with processing industry.
Besides, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development monitored, repaired drainage system of Di An town, Tan Dong Hiep industrial park, Chom Sao - Suoi Don... with total cost of VND118 billion.
In the last 6 months of 2015, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has continued to cooperated with related sectors to implement the project “Restructuring agricultural sector towards higher added value and sustainable development. Coordinating with districts, towns and city to accelerate progress of national target program on new rural construction. Assisting businesses and individuals to help farmers in distributing, advertising agricultural products…”
At the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung appreciated agricultural production value of the first 6 months (reached 3.9%). PPC representative took notice of recommendations of the department, and will set forward plans to execute effectively.
