Ben Cat town’s vocational training has made favorable conditions for the local laborers to take part in vocational learning, seek or create jobs by themselves to improve their income, contributing to stabilizing the local social welfare.
Being proactive to make training plans
Ben Cat town’s People’s Committee has instructed the town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) to make annual plans on vocational training for rural laborers at their demand for vocational learning and labor market’s demand in association with the local socio-economic development strategies.

Under the local plan on vocational training for rural laborers to 2020, the town’s DoLISA was proactive to coordinate with relevant units to give vocational training for 2,274 laborers. There were 90% of laborers getting jobs after being trained. Since 2015, the town’s DoLISA has worked with relevant units to introduce jobs to more than 20,000 laborers and nearly 650 demobees.
Thanks to the town’s annual vocational training plans well realized, the town’s vocational training for rural laborers has upheld its efficiency. Currently, the town’s Continuing Education-Vocational Training Center is a public facility eligible to give vocational training for rural laborers. The town’s DoLISA has also linked with provincial Job Placement Center, Binh Duong Trade Union Skill Junior College to give vocational training for the local rural laborers.
Improving quality of laborers after being trained
So far, there have been 70% of laborers in the town trained. Le Hong Tuoi, Head of the town’s DoLISA said that the town’s vocational training for rural laborers over the past time upheld its efficiency, absorbing numerous participants while raising public awareness of vocational training, laborers ‘role and position in the society.
To continue gaining better results in vocational training for rural laborers, according to Mrs.Tuoi, the town will further make propaganda, consultancy and orientation in developing vocational skills in line with the real demand of the society as well as of the locality; strengthen vocational consultancy for rural laborers. Especially, the town will attach special importance to vocational training in association with loan support and establishment of production linkage models to enhance the effectiveness of vocational training for rural laborers; encourage enterprises, business-production facilities to take part in vocational training and job generation for rural laborers.
For short-term vocational training, the town will pay more attention to organizing vocational training classes in association with labor recruitment at companies. The town’s DiLISA will be proactive to work with the province’s vocational training facilities to open vocational training classes in accordance with enterprises’demand…
