Vocational training cooperation with enterprises gains high efficiency

In recent years, colleges and junior colleges in the province have shaken hands together in training activities. The cooperation between vocational education and training institutions with enterprises to improve training quality helps students to catch up on work immediately after graduation.

Currently, enterprises associated with vocational training, this has made transformations at colleges and junior colleges in the province. Some vocational training institutes offer human resource training according to the orders of enterprises, and invited enterprises to participate in the training process, such as: information exchange between vocational training institutes and enterprises, to involve in developing training programs, to provide practical guidance, or introduce students to experience working at enterprises during their studies. These are the ways the schools are taking to provide the society with skillful human resources right after graduation.

Vo Dong Duy, Head of Vocational Training division of Provincial Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, said that public colleges and junior colleges under the province are concentrated in cities and towns, where there are many industrial parks and clusters.

This is a good condition for schools to promote, attract businesses, cooperate with enterprises to solve training problems to satisfy the needs of enterprises, help improving the quality of vocational education and creating jobs.

With the mission of training human resources for the medical sector to take care of people's health, Binh Duong Medical College always put training quality on top. The school has cooperated with hospitals, companies, pharmaceutical factories, drugstore system to introduce students to internships.

Medical students fulfill their internship time at Provincial General Hospital, Reproductive Health Care Center, Rehabilitation Hospital, Traditional Medicine Hospital, and other medical centers.

Pharmacy students are provided the opportunity to train at Provincial Testing Center, pharmacy department of Provincial General Hospital, and other medical centers, pharmaceutical companies and factories, such as: Imexpharm, Rohto-Mentholatum Vietnam, Davipharm, Boston, drugstore chain Long Chau, An Khang…

To improve the quality of human resources

Indeed, now students and graduates have confidently demonstrated their abilities because they are fully equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge. At Vietnam - Korea College of Binh Duong, the school's training program is 70% practical time.

In addition, the school also cooperates closely with enterprises to promptly grasp labor demands of enterprises. According to the school's Board of Directors, the school has set up relationships and affiliated with many businesses inside and outside the province in training programs.

On the other hand, the school regularly invites enterprises to take part in the construction, appraisal and evaluation of training programs; actively cooperate with enterprises to carry out theoretical training, provide internships etc.

The college also signed cooperation agreements with enterprises to help senior students directly take part in production business activities of enterprises in accordance with their majors, thereby helping them get acquainted with the actual working environment and hone their skills.

To build up their brand name based on training quality, Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College develops flexible training programs; provides training programs according to orders of companies.

According to Tran Hung Phong, Rector of Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College, the school cooperates with enterprises in training in a more diversified direction, increase practice and internship time of students at enterprises.

Furthermore, schools do training activities according to addresses of employers. This is one of the important solutions to develop vocational training, increase the percentage of trained workers, contribute to job creation and human resource development in the province.

Every year, in order to enhance vocational training, the connection between training and employment, between vocational training institutes and enterprises, thereby promoting the cooperation of three sides (schools - enterprises - the State), Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs periodically holds vocational training seminars to meet the needs of enterprises in Binh Duong province with the participation of competent agencies and vocational training institutions.

In particular, the seminars attracted the attention and participation of businesses and industry associations in the province to discuss and offer solutions to the development of vocational training to meet the requirements of labor market.

The cooperation between vocational training schools and enterprises is beneficial for both sides. Vocational schools train human resources that meet the needs of society, businesses do not have to spend time on retraining. Students and graduates acquired professional and practical skills, thus quickly find suitable jobs.

Actual figures have proven that the coordination in training and recruitment between schools and enterprises is very necessary, contributing to the development and improvement of human resource quality, and saving social costs.

According to statistics of Provincial Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the rate of students who have jobs after graduation is about 90%. Some technical majors have a high percentage of graduates employed; some schools reach 100%. The average monthly salary of graduates is from VND5 to 9 million.
