Beefing up dissemination work
Under the National Blood Transfusion Safety Program, provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation has always paid attention to the dissemination and mobilization of the local people to actively donate their blood while giving more care to blood donors.
Provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation last year mobilized 6,873 units of blood, getting nearly 106% of the target. So far, the whole province has had 106 voluntary blood donation squads with 3,404 members, 106 reverse blood donation squads with 1,039 members and 178 propaganda squads with 1,693 members; regularly maintained 3 places for voluntary blood donation registration at provincial Red Cross Society, General Hospital and Women’s Union.
Needing those who have golden hearts
To achieve the set target, provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation need those who have golden hearts. The steering board has also paid more attention to blood donors, aiming to honor their contributions. It last year honored 49 collectives and 298 individuals who have donated blood many times.
