The provincial Youth and Young Labor Support Center has just coordinated with the Executive Committee of the central grassroots Youth Union to organize a volunteer activity of "Happy Sunday" at Ben Cat Town Branch of the Youth Connection Club under Smart Electronic Manufacturing Co. Ltd. At the program, the center gave gifts to 10 young workers with difficult circumstances; at the same time, it celebrated birthdays and gave gifts to club members whose birthdays were in July.
Ms. Le Thi My Xuyen, Deputy President of Youth Connection Club No. 32, expressed her wish that in the coming time, the center would continue to pay attention to and create conditions for more fun activities useful for young workers of the company. Vang A Chan from Ha Giang, a member of the club, said: “This is the first time I have celebrated my birthday. I hope the center and the company will create many activities for young workers to have the opportunity to participate.”
In order to promote the volunteer spirit of young workers, the Center for Supporting Youth Workers and Young Laborers of the province has also organized for young workers to carry out activities to protect the environment, contributing to preserving urban beauty in Chanh Phu Hoa ward in Ben Cat town. Participating in the activity, the youth union members of the central grassroots Youth Union and the club members gathered young workers to clean up and collect garbage on DA7 and NA7 roads at Chanh Phu Hoa ward. In addition, the center get young workers to perform beautification and incense offerings at the memorial stele of heroes and martyrs and the monument of Doan Thi Lien Cultural Park in order to educate patriotic traditions for the younger generation of a deep understanding of the heroic example of Chanh Phu Hoa's hometown.
According to Mr. Do Van Phung, Director of the provincial Youth and Young Workers Support Center, the activity was in the series of activities of the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign implemented by the provincial Standing Committee of the provincial Youth Union and in respond to the peak day of "Volunteer for Urban Civilization" in 2022 launched by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Union. The program has contributed to propagating and mobilizing people and workers in the area to join hands to protect the environment, maintain hygiene, not throw garbage indiscriminately, dispose of garbage in the right place, and form a civilized, responsible life to the community and society.
According to the implementation plan of the provincial Youth Union, during the Youth Volunteer Campaign in the summer of 2022, the Union's organizations also increased activities among young workers through the propaganda program of "Green Sunday", organize a program to light candles to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs, follow the footsteps of heroes to continue to strengthen propaganda, traditional education and promote volunteerism among young workers.
Spiritual life of young workers taken good care of
The "Pink Holiday" campaign among workers is focused by the Youth Union at all levels in the province to take care of and support the lives of workers and their children at hostels. Accordingly, Dong Hoa Ward Youth Union in Di An city coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the Solidarity Project to gather young workers and young workers in the ward together with the Organizing Committee of summer activities of the neighborhoods to organize the summer activities for children at the hostels. Summer activities have brought joy and laughter to the children in the hostels with many prize-winning quiz games, movement games, and bubble-making.
In order to create a weekend playground of exchange, closeness and cohesion among young workers, Di An ward of Di An city has just coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the ward project to organize a contest of "Spring spring rolls with five flavors" at the Youth Workers' Union 33/1, Thong Nhat neighborhood 2. The contest had 3 teams in the processing of spring rolls, grilled meat, beef with guise leaves. After that, the young workers enjoyed the food and sat down to chat after a week of work. In addition, the neighborhood unions of Di An Ward also organize summer activities for children in residential areas with folk games, instruction in folk dance, propaganda on prevention of accidents, injuries and drownings and give them small gifts.
For the young workers, the Union units continued to replicate the activities of helping and supporting difficulties and took place during the "Pink Holiday" campaign. Specifically, the delegation had been organized to visit and give gifts to young workers suffering from occupational accidents and diseases; hostel owners and benefactors had been called to donate to "Dream Room", set up youth model hostels, organize fun activities, and disseminate the laws.
With the rich and diverse activities in the summer of the Union, the Youth Union will bring to the youth workers and children in the hostel many useful activities for spiritual and cultural life.
