Project’s urgency
As a locality with the fast industrialization and modernization speed plus population growth, Binh Duong cannot help avoiding impacts pertaining to the environment. Hence, the birth of the project is very necessary.
Under the project, provincial Volunteer Youth Squad for Environmental Protection will assist units to monitor and inspect infringements on the environment; organize propaganda activities to raise youth’s awareness of the environment; provide appropriate services on environmental protection for the society; mobilize Youth Union members, businesses and people to get involved in environmental protection activities…
Chance for youth to take part in environmental protection
The project, implemented by provincial Youth Union, is divided into 2 phases with a total expense of more than VND10bln between 2011 and 2015.
Pham Hong Thang, head of provincial Volunteer Youth Squad said that members of provincial Volunteer Youth Squad for Environmental Protect are taught knowledge on the environment and relevant documents, the rights and deputies of each individual, organization in the field of environment…
In the process of realizing the project, competent members will be sent to regular training classes on environment of the national education system. It is known that members of the squad will also enjoy allowance policies from the project.
Thus, this is a chance for youngsters who are fond of environment to take part in solving issues relating to the environment. Communes, wards and townships will set up volunteer youth clubs for environmental protection with the goal of mobilizing forces to take part in environmental protection, contributing to promoting the local environmental protection movement.
