On April 11, provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, including Pham Trong Nhan and Vu Huy Khanh, held a meeting in Lai Thieu ward with voters being officials, civil servants, public employees and workers from various agencies, departments, mass organizations and armed forces of Thuan An city, ahead of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Delegate Vu Huy Khanh informed about the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the 8th regular session and the contents and agenda of the 9th regular session of the 15th National Assembly. After hearing the report, the local voters expressed satisfaction with how their concerns had been addressed. They also raised new issues related to health insurance policies, school textbooks and the degraded condition of some local roads needing repair and investment. Additionally, they proposed several suggestions regarding the planned provincial-level mergers, emphasizing the need to consider geographical suitability and the potential for economic development in merged spaces. They also mentioned that renaming wards and communes following the dissolution of district-level administrations should be done thoughtfully. Notably, voters urged the Party and State to develop appropriate policies to help officials, public employees, and workers stabilize their lives after undergoing staff streamlining and organizational restructuring.
The delegation discussed with voters the necessity of the provincial merger project, planned options for merging communes and wards; the selection of personnel to meet task requirements during the process of restructuring the apparatus... Regarding voters' recommendations, the delegation took note and forwarded them to relevant agencies for consideration and resolution under their authority.
*On the same day, provincial National Assembly deputy delegation also held a meeting with voters in Tan Hiep ward, including officials, civil servants and armed forces in Tan Uyen city.
At this meeting, the local voters expressed their trust and expectations for the upcoming 9th session of the 15th National Assembly. They presented several concerns, including environmental pollution control, the construction of dikes along local streams and the implementation of the Government’s decrees on policies and regimes for officials, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces involved in the reorganization of the political system. They also emphasized the need for proper support policies for civil servants, non-specialized staff, and contract workers in communes, wards, quarters and hamlets affected by the restructuring and streamlining process. Furthermore, they called for support policies for teachers and school staff when merging educational institutions as well as job placement assistance and access to credit for individuals affected by staff reduction to help stabilize their livelihoods. Other concerns included inadequate medical infrastructure, shortages of medical supplies, doctors and healthcare staff at local health stations.
The delegation and leaders of Tan Uyen city acknowledged and addressed the local voters' concerns within their jurisdiction and committed to compiling and submitting all proposals to competent authorities and the National Assembly for consideration and resolution under regulations.
