On the afternoon of January 14, provincial Children's Fund organized the 15th "Spring with disadvantaged children" program 2022. The event was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee together with 400 disadvantaged children in the province.

Warm spring to share

2021 was a year full of difficulties when the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic has affected activities in social life as well as activities of economic organizations and enterprises. The last Covid-19 wave severely affected Binh Duong province, especially the local disadvantaged people and children. Although still being difficult, the whole society still remembers children every spring. Therefore, this year's spring program with disadvantaged children is more meaningful than ever. The spring love is warmer and the love is more pervasive.

This year's program has the participation of nearly 400 disadvantaged children across the province. In the warm atmosphere of the approaching new spring, these children have a chance to enjoy special art items.

Attending the program, Ngo Ngoc Nha Truc, a 7th grader from North Tan Uyen district said: "This is the second time I have attended the spring program with disadvantaged children. Thinking that we would not be able to attend this year’s program, due to the pandemic, but it was surprised when we were informed that we would attend this year’s spring program. This year's spring gifts contain the abundant love of leaders and donors for us on the threshold of the Lunar New Year."

Although being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, provincial Children's Fund has always received the attention of leaders, departments and agencies together with the support of socio-economic organizations and individuals, jointly carrying out many practical and timely activities to help children with extremely difficult circumstances, especially on Tet. In this program, each child received a gift worth VND 300,000 together with VND600,000 in cash. These warm gifts will help them overcome immediate difficulties, continuing nurturing good dreams and enjoying a warm and joyful spring with their relatives.

Pervation of love

The spring program with disadvantaged children contributed to helping children with difficult circumstances to enjoy the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022. The program expressed the attention of the Party and State while calling for the whole society to offer help to disadvantaged children. It also aimed at paying tribute to economic organizations, enterprises and individuals supporting the cost of giving gifts to disadvantaged children on the occasion of the Tet festival.

In addition to the spring program with disadvantaged children, in recent days, provincial Children's Fund also organized a spring journey with disadvantaged children over the past days. The journey offered Tet gifts to disadvantaged children in Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, North Tan Uyen districts, Tan Uyen town, provincial Association for the Blind... In each journey, these children also had a chance to enjoy special art items…

Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shared that the 4th wave of Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected all aspects of social life, especially children in poor and near-poor households. The spring journey with disadvantaged children has contributed to bringing the joy to them so that they can welcome a joyful and warm spring.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Danh said that as of December 31, 2021, more than 300 unlucky children in the province had no longer "fulcrum", due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the past time, many activities of the State, mass organizations, sectors and enterprises supported families with members who died due to Covid-19 to stabilize their lives and return to a "new normal" life. Provincial Children’s Fund Sponsorship Council also took care of disadvantaged children by practical activities, helping stabilize their lives and continue going to school.

In 2021, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, provincial Children’s Fund Sponsorship Council received the support of donors with a total amount of more than VND 11 billion. In the spring program with disadvantaged children in 2022, as of January 14, the organizers received more than VND3.6billion.
