South Binh Duong water environment improvement project is to collect the whole waste water in Thu Dau Mot town for treatment. This is a very important project to bound for a civilized and urban area.
At present, the project has overcome an important stage. This result is thanks to efforts from investors, contractors and construction units. According to Binh Duong Water Supply and Environment Company (Biwase), the project management board selected international consultancy contractors to implement design and inspection for the project’s construction.
The project’s construction will last from 2007 to 2014 with the total capital of VND1,984bil (US$107mil), 80% of which is from Japanese ODA capital. The project will have 11 pumping stations to cater for take waste water from households to treatment plants. Meanwhile, waste water treatment plant will be built at Phu Tho ward on an area of 11ha with a capacity of 70,650cubic meters per day and night.
Difficulties remain
However, the project remains difficulties and complicated problems. They include road digging at busy routes impacting on many households’ business. Therefore, mobilization and promulgation should be early implemented to help local people learn about importance of the project.
According to Le Van Gon, vice director of Biwase, during process of launching the project, the project’s investor faced many obstacles such geology, tide, compensation and site clearance and so on.
In addition, joining will face difficulties, owing to latrine system located at behind of houses. This will cause a digging across local households’ houses and create a high expense of house repair…
