The official delegation of Board of Economics and Budget of Provincial People’s Council examined and inspected on the construction of waste water treatment pipe system of Southern Binh Duong Water Environment Improvement Project being implemented along streets of Nguyen Trai and Cach Mang Thang Tam as well as alleys and routes at Lai Thieu Ward of Thuan An Town. According to an unnamed representative of the Board, the project is sponsored by Japanese government to improve water environment, protect environment and community health, especially the water source of Saigon River and its down-flow. The first stage of the project was fulfilled and operated to resolve urgent needs of local people regarding waste water treatment and assurance of environment surrounding.
Promoting the outcome and experience of the first stage, in the second stage, the contractor has improved technical engineering, progress, and cost-saving in simultaneous implementation in Thuan An Town and parts of wards in Thu Dau Mot Town. By such endeavor, the committed construction progress and resolution of public urgent needs are all resolved.
Close supervision
Vo Van Long, the Deputy Manager of the Project of Southern Binh Duong Water Environment Improvement asserted that localities of Thuan An Town and parts of Thu Dau Mot City have become the construction sites influencing daily life and traffic.
Realizing the situation, the project manager asked the contractor to intensify construction activities in the evening on streets of urban areas and dense traffic needs to mitigate influence on general activities of the community. Close supervision of related parties has been also required.
According to Long, it is inevitable to affect daily life of local people; however, the project shall resolve the urgent situation of waste water treatment and environment protection. The project management commits to return the streets to their normal status while extend their gratitude to help and assistance from agencies and local people.
