A ceremony to launch the action program “For Water safety for children in Binh Duong” in the 2013 and 2015 period will be held at Ba Mieu boat station in Tan Uyen district’s Thuong Tan commune on the morning of October 31.
The launching ceremony aims to raise public awareness of and responsibility for creating a safe waterway environment for children, as well as to mobilize resources and improve co-ordination between relevant authorities, agencies, and communities to prevent children from drowning in association with the campaign of “Traffic culture with water way transport safety” launched by the National Committee for Traffic Safety.
Through the launching ceremony, Steering Boards for the Campaign “Traffic culture with water way transport safety” at all levels of the province will coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies to well realize the campaign, contributing to fulfilling targets set out by the action program “For Water Safety for Children in Binh Duong” in the 2013 and 2015 period.
The launching ceremony include TV reports on waterway transport safety, photos on waterway accidents to raise public awareness of this issue; the announcement of the contents of the action program For “Water Safety for Children in Binh Duong” in the 2013 and 2015 period”…Representative of Tan Uyen district-based boat stations will also delivery a speech on pledging to seriously implement waterway transport safety at the launching ceremony.
At the launching ceremony, the province’s functional agencies will coordinate with the local authorities to present life-jackets to locals and floating devices to owners of the means of transport at 11 boat stations in Tan Uyen district…
