The quantity of young workers taking part in universities, colleges, professional and vocational colleges in Binh Duong province is increasing. Apart from satisfying working requirements, learning is a way to improve knowledge to young workers.

Many young workers believe that learning is to work and have a better life After working hours, Nguyen Phuoc Hau working at Thien Phu Company in Thuan An town goes hurriedly to electronic class at Binh Duong Technical and Professional Trade Union vocational school (BDTPTUVS). Hau was born in Vinh Long province and has been in Binh Duong for 12 years. He wants to improve his knowledge as well as get a degree for work promotion.Nguyen Thi Kim Nguyen working at personnel department of Kokfeng Vietnam Company is studying accounting at BDTPTUVS for her job transfer to accounting department. Nguyen said: “Learning is not only to work for my company but also to accumulate knowledge for myself. I hope, there will have many more young workers learning to improve knowledge”.There are also many other workers going to classes after working time. Up to June 2013, the province has 55 operating vocational facilities, including 5 vocational colleges, 1 university providing vocational college training, 7 vocational secondary schools, 1 professional secondary school providing vocational training, 13 vocational schools and other 28 facilities providing vocational training.Provincial Labor Federation Vice Chairman Nguyen Thien Phuoc said, provincial labor unions had taken care of worker’s physical and mental life through practical activities, namely, emulation movement “Good labor, creative labor”, “Learning to improve knowledge, meet requirements of integration and development”… , thus contributing to improving professional, satisfying partly current working conditions.At the present, there are some high-quality vocational schools, such as: Binh Duong Technology Management vocational school providing directly labors for provincial businesses, and expanding, renovating facilities, classrooms, information technological equipment to cater learning and practicing; or Binh Duong Professional secondary school giving annually training to 1,000 – 2,000 learners according to business’s orders.The current provincial ratio of trained labors achieves 64%, in which vocational training is 44%.
