Hiep An ward (Thu Dau Mot city), many years after being recognized to meet urban civilization standards, has many real changes. Open wide roads, abundant cultural - sports facilities, plus green - clean - beautiful environment... have changed the appearance of this locality. Phan Huu Tri, Head of the district's Culture and Information Office, said that the movement was directed by Party committees and authorities in the district, all people strata actively participated in the movement. Therefore, material facilities are upgraded considerably, all weddings and funerals in the district have happened in a civilized lifestyle. People are united together to do family business; participate in activities organized by the local.
Tran Thi Dep, Head of Cultural Family Lifestyle Development under Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the prominence of the movement recently was activities of building "cultural residential areas", "Commune reaching the standard of new rural culture", "Ward reaching urban civilization standard", "Cultural lodging house" have come to life quickly, the people responded actively. As a result, in 2017, 90.95% quarters, hamlets gained the title of cultural quarter or hamley. At present, the whole province has 12,581 lodging houses that won cultural titles; 24 communes meeting rural culture standards; 17 wards and towns meet urban standards. Since then, the appearance of communes, wards and towns has changed remarkably. The movement of building cultural agencies, units and enterprises has created good changes in the cultural and spiritual life of cadres, workers and employees. To improve efficiency of the movement
Nguyen Thi Minh Nghia, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the movement of "All people unite to build cultural life" had been implemented by all levels and branches from province to grassroots level. Many localities, agencies and units focused on improving the quality of movement to achieve high efficiency in the real present and develop the movement in a sustainable way. Thereby, it has contributed to the improvement of spiritual and material life as well as the face of the province; the people’s consciousness about the implementation of civilized urban and rural lifestyle is heightened, contributing to the socio-economic development and maintaining security, social order and safety in the province.
Besides obvious effects, the movement still has some limitations. In particular, the steering of some districts and communes has not promptly influenced the registration of cultural titles. The management and inspection after being recognized cultural standards in some localities have not been seriously implemented. The investment in the construction of material facilities and cultural institutions is insufficient and not synchronized ... thus affecting the movement implementation at grassroots level.
To further effectively carry out the movement, Ms. Nghia said, in the coming time, the Steering Committee from provincial to grassroots level will strengthen propaganda activities to raise awareness of Party committees, authorities and people about the movement. In addition, mobilize all resources to carry out the movement, especially effective use of grassroots cultural institutions in organizing activities related to the movement; heighten the responsibility of Steering Committees at all levels in inspection, examination and recognition of cultural families, residential quarters, agencies, units and enterprises in an open and democratic manner strictly according to the prescribed process, standards and time to ensure the true quality of the movement; continue effectively integrating contents of the movement into following contents: building new rural areas; implementing grassroots democratic regulations; propagation and dissemination of laws; all people protect the Homeland Security...
With practical and feasible solutions, the contribution of all levels, sectors and the entire people, the movement "All people unite to build cultural life" will definitely achieve greater results and contribute to the socio-economic development, ensuring the national defense and security of the province.
