Early August 22, Dau Tieng district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a memorial monument to soldiers of the Division 9’s Regiment 3 under the High Command of the South Vietnam Liberation Army (SVLA) in Dinh Hiep commune’s Dong Trai hamlet.
The Division 9’s Regiment 3 under the SVLA was set up on December 22, 1964 to strengthen forces for southeastern provinces called Loc Ninh Regiment (now being the Division 4’s Regiment 2 under the Military Zone 9. On the evening of November 21 and at draw of November 22, the Regiment 3 and other units under the Division 9 were ordered to make an attack on the base of the Division 5’s Regiment 7 under the Saigon regime’s military in Dau Tieng 10 village (now being Dau Tieng district’s Dinh Hiep commune).
The work covers 36 square meters with a total investment of more than VND300million. The district’s DoLISA is the investor of the work, which is built by Thai Toan Viet One-Member Co.Ltd within 90 days.
