Extending a quick report on the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the city, Mr. Tran Sy Nam, Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee and Deputy Head of the City's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control said that the city currently has 39 quarantine areas with the capacity of 11,750 hospital beds. The city is operating 11 quarantine areas as transit areas to receive temporary treatment for 2,494 F0. The epidemic situation in the city is stable; and currently the city is temporarily isolated in 102 areas with 2,401 households and 7,592 people; 12 enterprises are mainly in industrial zones; the city organized sampling for people to test for 80.7% of the population. Besides, to keep the blue zones and gradually transform the red zones, the city has vaccinated 44,860 people with the first dose and 1,320 people the second dose.
Currently, the whole area has 7 treatment wards for Covid-19 patients with 19 doctors and 28 nurses directly serving and Quang Ngai delegation dispatched 23 people including 8 doctors and 15 nurses for treatment of up to 3,200 patients. In addition, the city also mobilized Medic Binh Duong General Hospital and Van Phuc Hospital to participate in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
At the meeting, the city's leaders also proposed to the Working Group to remove a number of problems related to epidemic prevention and control in the city such as the transition of asymptomatic patients. When the disease progressed to the upper floor of treatment, it was still slow due to the procedures; the receiving process must have test results confirmed by PCR has affected the results of treatment and care for the patients, especially to ensure that the goal is not to let the patient die at the F0 treatment areas. Besides, Thu Dau Mot city also proposed to speed up the work of taking samples to test for F0 in 7 industrial zones in the area. This is the premise and basis for the city to have a plan to build "blue zones", a roadmap to transform the "yellow zones", "orange zones" and "red zones" close to the actual situation of the locality.
Concluding remarks at the meeting, Mr. Ho Quang Diep noted the opinions and recommendations of the city; at the same time, he highly appreciated the tireless efforts of Thu Dau Mot city, which has well implemented the measures of the province, especially the strict implementation of social distancing according to Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister; social security and mobilization of resources are made to take care of the lives of people and workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
