On October 21, at Binh Duong Provincial Convention and Exhibition Centre, a workshop on setting up and implementing information security was held. Attending the seminar were representatives of Information Security Administration; Department of Cyber Warfare; representatives of Departments of Information and Communications, Military Commands of provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ninh Thuan, Tay Ninh.
At the workshop, representatives of Departments of Information and Communications of Can Tho and Binh Duong cities shared their difficulties and advantages in the implementation of information security by each level. The delegates also discussed issues related to new points of Circular 12/2022/TT-BTTT.
According to Tran Manh Thang, deputy head of Information System Security Office, Department of Information Security, there are currently 3,151 information systems nationwide, including 703 ministerial and branch level systems and 2,448 local level systems. However, only 1,032 systems have approved level proposal, accounting for 32.8%. Therefore, the Prime Minister ordered Ministry of Information and Communications to step up and urge ministries, branches, and localities to complete the classification and approval. Specifically, according to Directive No. 02/CT-TTg dated April 26, 2022, the required time to complete the classification, identification and approval of the proposed level of information system is before December 1, 2022; the plan must be fully implemented to ensure information security according to its operating level before June 1, 2023.
