On Feb 25, provincial Department of Education and Training in collaboration with relevant sectors held a workshop on management of boarding and food safety control in schools.
According to the Department, 100% pre-schools, 95 primary schools, 14 secondary schools have boarding meals. The sector has determined to ensure food safety and hygiene in boarding schools. The Department has cooperated with health sector to give training of this field; regularly inspected, and coordinated with localities to sanction violating facilities affecting negatively student’s health.
At the workshop, representatives of Food Safety and Hygiene, Quality Management, Market Management Department, and schools discuss together he management of school canteens, food safety in boarding schools, solutions to ensuring food hygiene and safety, organizing cooking effectively… The workshop helped the education and training sector to have more solutions to effective management, organizing boarding and food safety and hygiene in schools.
