Worries about sending children to household-run nursery classes

Again, public opinion expressed their concerns on baby-sitters at household-run nursery classes. Sending children to schools has become a worry for young couples.

Household-run classes

After a video clip of abusing the toddler was posted on the internet, young mothers have worried about their children’s situation at household-run classes. Especially, the worry doubles for mothers who are workers at companies because they have no favorable conditions to send their children to state-run kindergartens.

Parents always hope that their children will enjoy best care.

It is easy to find out illegal nursery classes. Meeting real demand of immigrant laborers and young couples, household-run nursery classes have sprung up like a mushroom. It is considered as a new career at populous provinces and cities. Household-run nursery classes are often managed by elderly women. They work this job to improve their income. The problem now is that most of the immigrants are poor and they have to bring their children to the household-run classes which are cheaper. However, the classes are not licensed and only provide most basic conditions.

Mrs. T, a worker of a furniture company, said she has sent her 2 year-old daughter to a household-run nursery class with a price of VND15,000 per day. She knows that her daughter will suffer disadvantages at this class but she has no other choice, owing to her low income.

Sending to children to nursery classes are always concerns for young parents. Particularly, mothers working at companies with a low income have felt insecure about their children’s situation at illegal nursery classes.

Most workers hope that companies where they are working have nursery classes for workers’ children. This will help feel more secure.

However, when will workers’ children enjoy adequate care at nursery classes? This question is still a problem.
