With the motto of “Each youth, each Youth Union should have at least one volunteer activity, contributing to ensuring social welfare”, provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union now focuses on realizing many activities for the sake of pubic welfare such as sci-tech transfer, environmental protection…
Sci-tech transfer in remote regions
Vu Anh Tuan, vice-secretary of provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union said that twenty five volunteer students from provincial Agriculture-Forestry Junior College will take part in volunteer activities in Tuy Duc district’s Quang Tan commune in the Central Highland province of Dac Nong. Meanwhile, volunteer students from provincial Culture-Art and Tourism Junior College will come to Tan Uyen district to help locals.

Environmental protection is one of the programs of the bloc’s Youth Union prioritized for implementation
Particularly, these volunteer students will get involved in many significant activities, including transferring sci-tech advancements to locals, guiding them how to properly use pesticides, providing free medical check-ups and medicine for poor locals, disseminating information on traffic safety and ways against diseases in cattle and poultry…They will also organize summer classes and many other useful summer activities for the local youngsters. According to Mr.Tuan, this is also one of the great activities of the bloc’s Youth Union as young people in the rural region have few opportunities to take part in activities of the Youth Union and associations…
Joining hands in environmental protection
The program of “For a civilized and modern Binh Duong” is seen as a great activity of provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union. The objectives of the program are to uphold the volunteer role of the youth to work out “young works” for the community; raise Youth Union members’ awareness on environmental protection and build of a civilized and modern Binh Duong.
To achieve this great program, each Youth Union must have one practical deed, especially pay attention to environmental protection. Particularly, 100% of the bloc’s Youth Unions need to launch the “Green Sunday” campaign; take part in growing and protecting forest, collecting rubbish, clearing canals…
Tran Thanh Luyen, secretary of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs’s Youth Union said that environmental protection is a regular activity of the Youth Union. But, during the 2011 summer volunteer campaign, the Youth Union will launch the “Green Sunday” campaign and boost its propaganda activities to raise Youth Union members’ awareness on environmental protection…
Houses of compassion for poor youth
As planned, there will be four houses of compassion worth VND25mln each for the local poor youths during the 2011 summer volunteer campaign. It is known that the total cost of these houses is funded by the bloc’s Youth Union members and donors.
According to Tuan Anh, head of the bloc’s Youth Union group N0.2, this support program will encourage needy youths to overcome immediate difficulties and step by step build a well-off life…
Upholding their volunteer spirit, youth volunteers will have significant activities for the sake of the community. The annual summer volunteer youth campaign is also a good environment to educate Youth Union members so that they know to live for everyone.
