The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) launched young people’s day for the poor at the Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City, Nghe An province on December 31.
This event is aimed at promoting Vietnam’s mutual affection tradition, and encouraging young people to help the poor.
The programme is expected to increase young people’s role in the country’s development, help the poor overcome their difficulties, and lessen the paint of disabled young people.
On the same day, the HCYU honoured outstanding young volunteers who helped the flood victims of central provinces in 2010.
