Young workers are eager to return to work after the Tet holiday

After the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025, the working atmosphere in industrial parks, factories, and enterprises of Binh Duong province returned to normal. Workers from various regions have come back to Binh Duong to resume their jobs, and businesses quickly stabilized their production. They are starting the new year with high expectations.

Young workers have returned to factories and enterprises to work enthusiastically.

Happy New Year's Day

Right from the first days of the year, following the Lunar New Year holiday, gateways leading to Binh Duong have become crowded with workers eager to return to their familiar workplaces, carrying luggage on their shoulders. In factories and enterprises, the sound of machines has been resonating regularly, signaling the start of a new work year.

According to the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the rate of workers returning to work after Tet this year is higher than last year. This increase demonstrates both the stability of the workforce in Binh Duong and the strong attachment of workers to their businesses.

In addition to taking care of workers before Tet, businesses are also focusing on activities to support their employees' well-being after Tet, fostering a comfortable and friendly working atmosphere. Many companies have organized early events such as distributing gifts, providing lucky money, and arranging fun games to boost workers' spirits. For instance, Minh Long 2 Technical Ceramics Company Limited, located in Hung Dinh Ward, Thuan An City, organized a 3-day, 2-night tour to the coastal city of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province for all its workers on the 6th day of Tet.

Along with visiting and sightseeing at many famous places, workers can also engage in various interesting activities, such as team-building games, a lucky draw program, and a gala dinner for cultural exchange. Moreover, on the 9th day of Tet, when everyone returns to work, the company's Board of Directors gives each employee 200,000 VND as lucky money. This gesture helps create an exciting and joyful atmosphere for workers during the first days of the new year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, a worker at Minh Long 2 Technical Ceramics Co., Ltd., said: “We are very pleased with the company's commitment to caring for its employees. The trip on the first day of the year, following the long Tet holiday, was truly meaningful. It provided an opportunity for workers to relax after a year of hard work, while also fostering joy and strengthening bonds among colleagues in the company's big family. We hope to have more opportunities to participate in such meaningful trips in the future."

Hope for a prosperous new year

Ms. Dao Thi Hoai Nhi, a worker at Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park, said: “Time flies so quickly! Tet is already over. I fondly remember celebrating Tet with my family in my hometown. On the day I returned to work in Binh Duong, I felt a mix of emotions. I wished that time could have lasted a little longer and that the distance between my hometown, Quang Tri, and Binh Duong were shorter. However, I know I must set aside these temporary feelings and return to the cycle of life in my second hometown, Binh Duong, because this place provides me with a stable job and a small, beloved family...".

Mr. Truong Van Hai, Detmold Packaging Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), confided: “My hometown is in the West, I get to go home two or three times a year, I feel luckier than my friends in the far away Central and Northern regions, each time I go home it costs a lot of money and time. This year, I also went back to my hometown to celebrate Tet with my family very completely. In the new year, I hope my work goes smoothly, allowing me to care for and show filial piety to my parents in the countryside, making their lives easier....”.

In boarding houses, workers have returned to a normal routine, making these places crowded and bustling once again. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Hang, Head of the Young Workers’ Union Branch No. 4 in Binh Phu Quarter, Binh Chuan Ward, Thuan An City, stated, “Last year, the economy was difficult, and many workers left their rented accommodations to return to their hometowns. At that time, my family’s lodging house only had 19 out of 40 rooms rented. During the recent Tet holiday, I was worried that after the holiday, workers would change their accommodations or leave the city to go back to the countryside. However, I am pleased to report that all the workers in those 19 rooms have returned in full force.”

After the Tet holiday, young workers generally feel stable and excited, with most choosing to return to Binh Duong to continue their jobs. Hopefully, next year the economic situation will improve, leading to more stable employment for workers and bustling lodging houses every day.
