The Youth Unions of Tan Uyen district, Thuan An and Di An towns organized a series of cultural activities in celebration of Party and lunar New Year 2013 to take care of young workers during the Tet (lunar New Year) holiday.
On the days near Tet, the Youth Union of Dat Cuoc commune in
Tan Uyen district held an art performance contest named “Traditional songs” and
a fashion show named “Gentleness of spring colors” at Dat Cuoc industrial park,
absorbing more than 650 Youth Union members and young workers. The programs
aimed to raise national pride among the local youths and help them express
their ability in fields of culture and arts. 
Dat Cuoc commune also kicked off a get-together named “Enjoying spring with young workers”, a folk culinary competition and presented 24 gifts to heads of sub-unions for young workers and young workers who could not afford to go home for Tet.
Whilst, the Youth Union of Tan Hiep commune organized 6 art performance nights at hamlets, drawing nearly 1,800 arrivals of Youth Union members, young workers and locals. They contributed to raising the spiritual life of people living in the commune, especially young workers.
Tan Hiep commune also presented 30 gifts worth VND200,000 each to young workers with difficulties; joined hands with proprietors and sub-unions for young workers to organize 3 informal parties, luring more than 400 young workers. The above practical activities contributed to bringing young workers herein a significant Tet.
In addition, provincial Youth Union coordinated with Thuan An town’s Youth Union held the 2013 Voluntary Spring for young workers in An Phu ward with many activities imbrued with national identities. The organizers presented 7 gifts to young workers who could not afford to go home for Tet.
Members of lodging sub-unions in Thuan An town’s Binh Hoa ward also enjoyed a joyous art performance night organized by the ward. Coming to the night, young workers had a chance to watch special items and take part in interesting games. The ward also gave away more than 250 Tet gifts to young workers with difficulties.
Apartedly, the Youth Union of Di An town’s Agencies Bloc kicked off a camping festival in celebration of Party and lunar New Year 2013 themed “Di An in spring” with many attractive activities, including a “banh tet” (traditional glutinous rice cake) cooking contest, a ceremony burning incense to commemorate martyrs…
The Youth Union of Di An town’s Agencies Bloc also received to maintain 12 pupils with difficulties for one year. The local People’s Committee also presented 741 Tet gifts worth more than VND222mln to young workers with difficulties while the local Youth Union suggested the province to give financial support for 35 young workers with difficulties, 5 outstanding youth sub-unions and 159 heads of sub-unions for young workers.
Many other significant activities for young workers during Tet, including an art performance themed “Spring songs”, traditional camping festivals, get-togethers for young workers who could not return home for Tet…were also organized by the town’s Youth Union and its afficilitates.
